TATRA last year with a profit of CZK 859 million

TATRA automobile company had revenue of CZK 5.9 billion in 2007, while 84 percent of this revenue came from export. Net profit of the parent company reached CZK 859 million last year. Revenue of the whole TATRA group was CZK 7.702 billion last year while in 2006 it was CZK 6.062 billion. The net consolidated profit of TATRA group reached CZK 901 million last year.

In 2007 there was a dynamic increase of sales, when TATRA dispatched 2,453 trucks (in 2006 we sold 1,607 vehicles). This year’s target sales are around 2,350 vehicles. Therefore, the number was not increased, but there is a difference in the structure of vehicles being sold. TATRA moves from simpler sets and vehicles to more complex applications of truck versions, which should bring, according to the projections of our ambitious target, the increase of this year’s revenue up to CZK 9 billion. The fact that TATRA’s target is covered by orders until the end of 2008 is therefore very favorable.

TATRA subsidiaries achieved record revenues in 2007 as well. Taforge achieved a profit of CZK 20.6 million from revenue of CZK 692 million, Tafonco had a profit of CZK 42 million, while its revenue was CZK 918 million, and the Tawesco company last year managed with a profit of CZK 3.4 million, while revenue reached CZK 1.294 billion. The Tatra Export subsidiary, a non-manufacturing company, reached a profit of CZK 3.2 million.
