2008 Tatrafest

This year’s Tatrafest festival, organized for the second time, which was also the Tatra truck manufacturer’s 110th celebration of the start of truck production, was positively the greatest musical and entertainment event in the Moravian-Silesian region this year. The number of visitors ranked it among the three biggest one-day festivals in the Czech Republic. On August 30, over forty thousand visitors headed to the Tatra polygon. A number of them also made use of the opportunity to see some of the open operations of the Tatra vehicle manufacturer and its subsidiaries..

The program opened with a dancing performance of children from the Kopretina Daycare Center on the main stage. A music marathon was triggered off after 11 am by a band called Paark. Then fans of Marie Rottrová, Ewa Farná, Zuzana Smatanová – a Slovak singer, and Buty, a band, were pleased. Before Vìra Špinarová´s performance, who again made the audience cheer like they did last year, Ronald Adamas, Tatra´s CEO, greeted the audience.

Monkey Business and Kabát bands were stars of the night. Kabát’s performance at Tatrafest was their only concert in Moravia.

CThe all-day program included several side shows. The children’s corner with a lot of entertainment and shows was constantly full. TATRA brand fans enjoyed veteran cars parade when 70 veteran cars came together at the polygon within the traditional Rallye Beskydy. The show of trucks, both civilian and military models, was a display of the current Tatra manufacturing program. Also in this year, a show of Harley-Davidson motorbikes was on the program, as well as a group jump of parachuters and fireworks, this time it was done in two “versions” (during the day and at night)
